Swaminathan, Ahuliwalia, Fathima get D Litt degrees

Swaminathan, Justice (retd) Fathima Beevi and Planning
Commission Deputy Chairperson Montek Singh Ahluwalia
were today conferred with honorary Doctor of Letters
(D.Litt) degrees by the University of Calicut. Swaminathan and Justice (retd) Beevi received the honour
from Kerala Governor and Chancellor Nikhil Kumar, while
Ahluwalia could not be present to receive the honour and
his representative Dr Arunish Chawla received it.
The Governor made the convocation address.
Swaminathan and Justice Beevi delivered the acceptance
speech.
